365 Day ? Thursday, Feb 11

Der and I went for a walk in the snow today and then decided to build a snow man or snow woman. It didn't take long but did necesitate a cup of hot chocolate and then a nap.

Missing Pictures

Some people download pictures every day and some people don't. I didn't. I will eventually have pictures for Feb 2 but my disk with about 8 pictures crashed! And of course, they were the best pictures you have ever seen! Sure!

365 Day 30 Saturday

Canon XLT 1/60s f/4.0 ISO:400
Hummmmm. Maybe shutter speed is too fast!
Suggested topic for the week was "morning". And this is my very favorite morning scene! He is reading the sports page--about TCU's upcoming game!

365 Day 29 Fri

Canon XLT 1/60s f/4.0 ISO: 400
I know that is a fast shutter speed. Wonder if there would have been more light if I'd used a faster speed?
Feel fortunate to just get this far!!!!

365 Day 28 Thur

ONLY picture I took today!
Canon Rebel XLT
1/60s f/5.6 focal length: 55 omm
Somedays you just bomb out!

365 Day 27 Wed

A photography site I liked suggested we try taking pictures of streets. There were exotic streets with cathedrals--night time shots of beautiful neons and streaking lights--all of which are outside my realm.
What street means a lot to me! This street--Berry Street and why? Well, that's easy--GO FROGS!!!!!
We didn't have time to go to the stock yards. Oh well, another day another shot--urrr, uh, photograph.

365 Day 26 Tues

The daffadills are peeking through the soil! How eagerly we await their growth! God gives us signs that there will be an end to winter's cold and drabness and this is one of them! Each day we check to see how far they've grown and when the buds begin to form and then-----!
Oh, well, this is Texas and we know there will be at least one more winter freezing rain fling and perhaps more. But for now--we enjoy the sight.

365 Day 25 Mon

God's flowers are so very beautiful! They are the very truest works of art and I really love this cyclamen with the light shining on it. A photographer said if you turn your camera upside down, the flash will illuminate the bottom of your image. I tried that. You really need to be a little more cordinated than I am for it to succeed. This shot seemed to emphasize the delicate flowers and the bud that will become a flower.

365 Day 24 Sunday

The first bush to flower in the spring, even before it forms leaves, has these lovely flowers. It's at least 38 years old and still greets spring with a brilliant burst of pink! Noticed it has thorns--don't remember them from earlier years. Did it get thorny as it grew older? Do we? Hummmmmmm!
Took with A-dept feature on the camera. Will make an appointment with the eye doctor tomorrow. Can't be really certain when everything is in focus! Drats!!!!

365 Day 23 Saturday

My roses are putting out leaves! And it is January--but of course that is January in Texas. The new growth is really lovely but means I need to put down my camera and bring pruning back the old growth! What a choice!
I used the A-Dep feature on my camera and really like it. I also used the automatic and other settings, but the A-Dep was best.

365 Day 22 Friday

The sunset Friday was beautiful! And I do love sunsets! Of course, it became extremely spectacular when we got into the car to leave! The sky was streaked with rich glowing pink that slowly disappeared entirely by the time we reached our destination. Photo ops are very brief!

365 Day 21 Thur

You'll need to pull the slider down to see the sunlight on the floor. And you will probably see the shot again until I can really capture the warm glow of the sun on the oaken floor. By the way this is part of the original floor when Foster hall was built in 1943.

365 Day 16 Saturday

Shadows and light are fascinating. Took this picture on the way into a store and on the way out, clouds had moved in. Photography is a game of seconds.
Canon Rebel XT Digital

ISO 100

365 Day 15 Fri

No picture today because it was REALLY, REALLY fuzzy! Hoped this project would make me a better photographer but so far it has shown me that I need to concentrate and "focus" in more ways than one! I also need to pay attention to what I am doing and KNOW what I want to achieve. Tomorrow is another day--thank goodness!

365 Day 14 Thur

This may not be the worst picture I've taken but it ranks right up there. Will some day figure out why pictures I crop don't stay cropped--until then--oh, well! Forgot to look for shadows.

365-day 10 Sunday

Marble Effect: taken with Canon ESO Rebel XT (only one I have) f5.6 ISO 100 No flash

Once again, this is not the image I expected to post. Had it cropped a lot closer but gremlins seem to insist on posting this view. Oh, well!

On the Road Again

Have guitar--will travel! or Music on the go! Instead of watching the Cowboys game, Der played music with friends! WOW!
Picture taken on Cannon EOS Digital Rebel XT in automatic mode--My goal is to get OUT of the automatic mode!

365-Day 8 Fri

One the way home from work saw a yard where they had watered their lawn--temp 18. Loved the sculptures created by ice.

365-Day 6 Thur

Once again, editing did not follow through. Oh, well! Walking in the mall--tried to capture flame and smoke. Failed! Solution: Try different camera settings.

365-Day 6-Wed

PraiSingers choir at church on Wed--Susan is our pianist and so very talented. All 160 choir members are over 55 and there are a couple who are 90!

365-Day 5-Tues

The Frost was on the windshield--not the pumpkin and it was lovely.

365-Day 4

Somehow my enhancing is going by the wayside. Column at the entrance of a mall on University--another emblem of Fort Worth?

365-Day 3

Sunday, my church interior. Had a nice one that I had cropped and enhanced. Notsure I could find it again. But in our lives, the light should be on the cross.

365--Day 2

Old Fort Worth Post office--top of the columns--always loved them.

365 Project-Day 1

2010 brought a new project for me-365 photographs, one a day for the entire year.

Day one--me and my camera--as seen in a silver tray at Macys. Showed me that if I really look, there is a lot to see.
